So over all I would say 8 and for 350 thats not bad for all the way around.This app unlocks the full version of both FoxFi and PdaNet.

Software is also getting better and radio works better and better the more I use it. Likke I said for 350 and the amount of stuff I can do on this verses other units I am very happy and I will replace with a new one when required. The apps are what I like, however dont think you can install and run every app on market place its not happening they are limited to a degree and some will be buggy and some will not.some will install and some will not. I would rate install at about a 7 since I did not get the factory type replacement.for radio quality I would say overall sound and such 8 or so, amp works great however I cheated and I run twin L7s 15 Inch squares.but I can turn them on and off using my radio so Im good with it. The out put is great I am not saying its like a Blaupunk or anything of BOSE but its also miles better than factory and lets face it with jeeps dirt mud and dust flying in I am sure if it fried tomorow I would order another and slap it right in. it comes with like seasons but very high quality.so Im good with screensavers and wallpapers. The live Ocean wal paper is the one I run and I even named the wheel underwater to say Marks Jeep.fishes swim around it. Now I have had issues with sirius XM app and when I shut it down I actually will have to go into the apps section to turn of the streaming app seems it will drop the wifi connection and stop and just kinda hang, I could switch to stereo mode and simply turn on the receiver thats on my dash that transmits to head unit using FM but I just do app kill and restart and its fine no big deal for me. No delay at all maybe like what 3 seconds.now if you do a reset yes it will reboot from the time you install until you press reset it is and stays booted up and only goes to standbye. In English you install radio it boots up says jeep or whatever logo you select during set up or customize later and then say you get out at store turn off jeep, come back hop in and tu8rn on key as jeep starts the radio starts playing music. However once installed the radio is instant on and off after initial boot. The radio boot time well there you can be mislead a bit.the intial boot up time is like 30 seconds, but its not really too bad. The system in my jeep was the alpine 9 speaker with amp and I bought my adapter from a stereo shop for 110 and everything worked seamless. Try doing all of that with a JVC, plus I used my JVC well actually Alpine rear view camera and it works excellent.
The usb will play media but if you install a Blutooth controller you can connect the Torque app to bluetooth sending unit and also use it.

I can blutooth my computer direct to stereo for full movie sound through vehicle as well. I also have pandora and Utube so I get plenty of music without the need for the FM at all. The GPS for google maps will need a wifi connection to operate the best.I actually have a Jet pack installed for my work so I am always with wifi and I run a cellular booster for cell and data so If I can get one bar it works great, I also use the sirius on tuner but found that the streaming app has less interruptions or dead spots when I have 2 bars or more service. When you have no cell service the factory installed Igo will work like in mountains and such which I work in often. You have a floating one for home screen you may select when you are running in the GPS mode.I prefer google maps to the one factory included it is way more accurate.however. So I had 1600 in JVCs and threw them in the trash.įor instance if you live way out reception is not that great FM wise.Īlso the home button never works even though I have updated unit which also was easy once you figure it out. Now I see a lot of folks calling it cheap at 350 yes I guess you could say that but I also had 2 JVC radios that had GPS with flip down screens and both tore up within a yr and I didnt use the flip down part that often. I had already cut factory stuff to allow for a full double din installation so no worries and no fighting I did add the dash install kit which has the two side pieces to make it snug on side and hide radio.
